“Look, I think we can sell these miniature tomatoes without referring to them as HydroBites and outfitting our mascot in a cape and running shoes. Why is he wearing running shoes when he can fly?”

Hello??? It’s a tomato!
We’ve become so stupid, though, we won’t eat anything healthy unless, perhaps, it can be made into an action hero. Just look at the expression on his face. You know he’s about to go out and save the day … with his tomato-ness.
Where’s his sidekick, Brock Stalk the Broccoli? Or Johnny Ferret the Carrot?
Lots of missed opportunities here!

I originally posted this picture on my Facebook page and thought it was funny, so I put it on here without giving much thought to how I could expand and improve upon it with a theme like crime fighting vegetables. As the title suggests I was kind of treating this post like a hypothetical Far Side gag panel, but you’re right I should’ve spent more time on it and your jokes are worthy of inclusion

Ahhh. I didn’t mean you missed the jokes. I meant the advertisers missed the opportunity for more mascots! 🙂

Frankly I think he looks a little on the chubby side. Must be all that hydro “water” retention. 😉
